McLanahan Corp. announced its new mobile washing and screening division, McLanahan Mobile Solutions (MMS), at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2017. The company says the MMS TT517 Track Trommel is ideal for processing aggregates, waste fines, construction and demolition material, and more. It can be containerized when almost fully assembled, and can be set up and running in just 15 minutes to handle up to 165 tons of material per hour.
The new trommels feature a self-cleaning drum that minimizes downtime. The drum measures 16 feet, 9 inches long with a diameter of 4 feet, 7 inches and features four lifter bars and three wrap-around screen mesh sections. All three mesh sections are bolted to the outside to allow for simple and fast media changes, and when maintenance is required, the drum is easily lifted out. The drum’s screen angle is hydraulically adjustable from 0 to 4 degrees.
Convenient, safe access doors allow a clear view of the collection and feeder conveyors. Additional features include variable speed drives on all conveyors and clearly marked on/off style control levels. The trommels can be hydraulically driven with forward and reverse capabilities, and emergency stops are located all over the machine for quick shut down when needed.
