National Stone, Sand & Gravel AssociationThe National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) is offering a new webinar, AGG1 Online Webinar: Is this Really Significant & Substantial? The latest developments in the case law on S&S, on March 29, 2018 from 1 – 2 p.m.

With increased focus on impact inspections and pattern of violations enforcement by the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), it is important for mine operators to understand what constitutes a “Significant and Substantial” (S&S) citation and know how to challenge an S&S finding during an inspection or informal conference with MSHA. This webinar will discuss how the definition of S&S has evolved in the Courts, review MSHA’s application of the meaning of S&S in the field, and consider real-world examples of conditions that were mistakenly cited as S&S. The webinar will also provide tips on best practices to improve safety and avoid hazardous exposures that could lead to S&S issuances.

Those interested in attending the webinar should register for the event here. Registration is $49 for members and $99 for nonmembers, per location. If you plan to attend additional webinars, you can choose from these additional packages:
