Regulatory guidance on wetlands jurisdictions

An 11-page Regulatory Guidance Letter (RGL) helps explain the differences between approved jurisdictional determinations (JDs) and preliminary JDs when dealing with wetlands jurisdictions. It also provides guidance on when an approved JD is required and when a landowner, permit applicant, or other affected party can decline to request and obtain an approved JD and elect to use a preliminary JD instead. The RGL takes effect immediately and supersedes any previous inconsistent guidance issued by the agency. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
