KCM Corp., a subsidiary of Hitachi Construction Machinery Group, says its new Tier 4 Final 80Z7 wheel loader cycles faster, is more powerful, has near zero emissions, and is designed to be more fuel efficient than previous models. It is equipped with a 4.2 cubic-yard GP bucket, and a 200-horsepower Cummins QSB6.7 diesel engine.

The loader’s KCM IntelliTech Operating System, which provides sophisticated control of all systems, includes a variable‐speed reversible fan that minimizes power drain while providing maximum cooling. A lock‐up clutch in the transmission is said to provide better hill climbing, faster acceleration, and greater fuel economy. Its simple emission system is said to achieve Tier 4 Final standards without a Diesel Particulate Filter.

The ROPS/FOPS-certified cab offers outstanding visibility in all directions. A super wide-angle rearview camera provides a clear view on a monitor. Steering is available in a conventional steering wheel with a tilting/telescoping column or joystick steering. The standard telematics system, KCM Global e‐Service, monitors and collects operating data and alerts, and transmits them to equipment managers, owners, and dealer personnel.
